GEORGE MICHELS IS A GRADUATING ARTIST AND ASPIRING CURATOR.

 

“Words turn into poetry before me”.

 

Working primarily with text and photographs, much of the work interprets the ideas surrounding collection and language, as well as touching upon societal issues around OCD and graffiti. As a child, George was moved from a life in the middle of the French countryside to England. The move affected her language and pressured her to learn a new language quickly yet precisely, a trait which has not yet left her. Having to think about words as she sees them has created a stronger love for language and its links to relationships as many will not find.
